I am offering my 8 week mindful meditation course beginning Wednesday, January 8, 2025. In this class series, I will incorporate science based practices that are designed to reduce stress and promote ease, gratitude and resilience.
The 8 week series meets weekly on Zoom for 90 minutes (a few classes go closer to 2 hours). This series will offer mindfulness and meditation fundamentals, so you can begin your own practice and benefit from stress reduction and increased wellness. I have structured this class to build community, where we create a safe environment to learn and ask questions. You will learn both formal meditation and informal practices that support you to meet life with wisdom and joy.
Weekly class topics include:
Introduction to Mindfulness, Being Present, Our Ruminating Minds, Loving-kindness, Being With What's Difficult, Self-Compassion, Resilience and Moving Forward.
The course includes weekly check-ins as a group, mindfulness practice, instruction, guided meditations and home practice. I will be providing the guided meditations for home practice for all students through email (also on google drive). For the class, it is best, if you can situate yourself in a quiet, comfortable space each week. Session attendance is highly encouraged. If you miss a class, I can schedule a 1:1 session to make up the class. Bring weekly a yoga mat or blanket (or to be able to comfortably lie down), cushion, chair (for seated meditation), journal, pen and water.
The fee is a sliding scale of $250-$350 for the entire class series. However, no one is turned away for a lack of funds. And, returning students will receive a $50 discount.
